On the afternoon of September 29, East Best & Lansheng Group held the first plenary meeting of its first workers congress at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. President Chi Hong reported to the meeting the main points of the Group’s “13th Five Year” Development Plan. The meeting reviewed and approved the Implementation Method of East Best & Lansheng Group’s Workers Congress, Regulations of East Best & Lansheng Group for the Fund of Mutual Assistance, Mutual Aid and Supporting the Poor (Trial Implementation) and elected the democratic management committee of the first workers congress of East Best and Lansheng Group. Comrade Wang Qiang, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of the Group put forward three requirements on how to implement the gist of the workers congress: carry forward the glorious tradition and make innovation and entrepreneurship in the process of transformation and upgrading; firmly adhere to the guiding ideology of business operation by relying on the workers whole-heartedly and conscientiously guarantee the master’s status of the workers; and bring into full play the workers congress as a bridge and bond, closely connect all the employees and vanguard the legal rights of them.
